Quality control
Find the defect while the goods are still in China
A batch that fails inspection in Shenzhen is an inconvenience. The same batch failing in your warehouse is a write-off plus freight. We check goods against your approved sample before they ship, and give you photo evidence you can put in front of the factory.
- Available on orders you sourced yourself — no sourcing package required
- Critical / major / minor defect classification, not a vague pass or fail
- Flat fee per inspection, not a percentage of order value
What gets checked
Specification match
Dimensions, weight, material, colour, and printed content checked against the approved sample and your written spec.
Function and assembly
Powered tests for electronics, moving parts opened and closed, and accessories counted against the packing list.
Photo evidence
Photos of the batch, cartons, labels, and any defect found — so a disagreement with the factory is about evidence, not memory.
Defect classification
Findings sorted into critical, major, and minor so you can decide between shipping, reworking, or rejecting the batch.
Packaging and labelling
Retail packaging, barcodes, country-of-origin marks, and carton markings verified before goods are sealed.
Written report
One report per inspection with quantities checked, sampling method, findings, and a clear pass or hold recommendation.
Four stages worth inspecting
- 1
Sample stage — we approve a reference sample with you, which everything later is measured against
- 2
During production — an in-line check catches a systematic mistake while there is still time to fix it
- 3
Pre-shipment — a random sample from the finished batch, inspected before goods leave the factory
- 4
Loading — carton count, labels, and load condition verified as the container or parcels go out
Most buyers only book the pre-shipment check. If you are producing a new product or working with a factory for the first time, the sample and in-line stages are where the expensive misunderstandings actually get caught.
Inspection questions
Why inspect in China instead of when goods arrive?
Because once a container has shipped, your options are bad ones. Freight is already paid, returning goods to a Chinese factory rarely makes economic sense, and your leverage over the supplier drops sharply after they have been paid. Inspection before shipment is the last cheap moment to say no.
Do you inspect every unit or a sample?
Normally a random sample sized to the batch, which is how standard AQL-style inspection works. Full 100% inspection is available where unit value or defect risk justifies the cost — for example small electronics batches where a single dead unit means a return.
Can you inspect an order I sourced myself?
Yes. Inspection is available as a standalone service on orders you placed directly with a factory, with no requirement to use our sourcing service.
What happens if the batch fails?
You get the report and the evidence, and we help you take it to the supplier — rework, partial acceptance, discount, or rejection. Because the goods are still in China and often not fully paid, these conversations tend to go your way.
How fast can an inspection be arranged?
Usually within a few business days of the factory confirming the goods are ready, depending on location. Tell us the expected ready date early and we schedule around it.
How much does inspection cost?
Quoted per inspection based on location, product complexity, and quantity. It is a flat job fee, not a percentage of your order value, so you know the cost before booking.
Goods nearly ready?
Send the product, factory city, quantity, and ready date, and we will come back with a quote and a schedule.
